Setsubun Festival

A Festival to ward off Evil Spirits and Bring Good Luck for the New Year. Celebrating the Traditional New Year and the Arrival of Spring.

Mikane Shrine offers prayers to ward off misfortune and respectfully burns used ofuda, charms, and votive tablets that have served their purpose.

Hoshi (star) Festival

The first Saturday of August, 7:00 p.m.~

A Summer Purification Rite.

This ritual festival provides you the experience of ancient purification, ‘Hitogata Nagashi’ that is believed to help reset us to our original state and restore our well-being.
Simply write your name and age on a human-figured paper that shrine offers, to transfer your physical and mental impurities and misfortunes onto the paper. The paper is then poured into the sacred water.

The Reitai-sai festival is the largest and main annual rite of the year.
It is held to express gratitude to the Great Deity for a bountiful harvest and to pray for the continued prosperity of the year ahead.
